The First Glance
Before I step into any room, before I strike a pose or speak a word, there’s always a moment in the mirror. A split second where my eyes meet mine. It’s quiet. It’s honest. And it’s everything.
Because confidence doesn’t start in my body. It doesn’t live in my clothes or my curves. It starts in the way I look at myself. In the softness I choose. In the fire I allow.
Seeing What I Used To Avoid
There were years where I couldn’t hold my own gaze. I’d look away. Find flaws. Zoom in on what needed to be “fixed.”
But the truth is, my body — with all its unique parts — didn’t need fixing. It needed witnessing. Especially the parts that made me different. Especially my chest. Especially the part of me that always made others pause.
One day I chose to pause too. Not to judge. Just to see. And that changed everything.
The Eyes Don’t Lie
When I feel powerful, it shows in my eyes before anything else. Not because I’m trying to be sexy or strong — but because I feel safe. I feel grounded. I feel like myself.
It’s what I bring to my photos. It’s what I share when I walk confidently, even in silence. My eyes speak before my words. And what they say is simple: I belong here.
More Than A Mirror
Now, when I look at myself, I don’t just see a body that breaks the rules. I see a story. I see resilience. I see someone who dared to look inward before she showed up outward.
So if you ever wonder where my confidence comes from… don’t look at the outfit. Look in my eyes.
