Creating My Own Beauty Standards Why I No Longer Follow Trends

Trends Were Never Made for Me

For years, I tried to squeeze myself into beauty trends that were never designed with my body in mind.
From the “perfect cleavage” push-up bras to flat stomach obsessions and symmetrical poses — I kept trying to match an image that wasn’t mine.

But how could I ever “fit in” when my body is naturally different?
When I have three breasts, when I’ve never looked like the women in the campaigns?

Eventually, I stopped trying to follow trends.
I started listening to me instead.

The Problem with Chasing Trends

Trends change fast — faster than your confidence can keep up.
What’s “hot” today is “out” tomorrow.

And when you’re different, you’re already told (silently or loudly) that you don’t belong. So you spend time, money, energy trying to adjust, contour, or cover… all to feel temporarily accepted.

But deep down, it never really feels like you.

Reclaiming My Body and My Rules

Something shifted the moment I said:

“What if I stopped chasing the beauty standard… and became my own?”

I started dressing for my body, not the algorithm.
I took photos in angles that celebrated my real shape.
I wore swimsuits that highlighted my uniqueness, not hid it.

And slowly, the mirror became a place of expression, not critique.

What Beauty Means to Me Now

Beauty is no longer a checklist — it’s an energy.

It’s confidence that doesn’t need validation.
It’s softness without shame.
It’s wearing my third breast with pride — not as a statement, but as a reality.

I stopped asking, “Do I look good enough?”
Now I ask: “Do I feel like me?”

The Magic of Not Fitting In

There’s something freeing about no longer trying to conform.
When you stop following trends, you make space to discover your true aesthetic.
Your true rhythm. Your true power.

I found that people respond more deeply to what’s real.
And the more I embraced my own standard of beauty, the more I attracted people who respected that.

You Are the Standard

If you’ve ever felt like you’ll never measure up — maybe you were never meant to.

Maybe you were meant to rewrite the rules.
